Moral of the story, there is a difference between operating a business based on fees and operating a business that charges reasonable fees as a function of doing good business.

I'm in the same predicament right now. 

I believe this to be true but before I submit my findings, I would like a second opinion from someone who knows this area and has maybe even been in this predicament.

So, beside the question that needs to be asked by the passive investor as to whether the sponsor is a fraud, is whether the sponsor has the moral compass to resist the temptation to commit fraud if things don’t go their way. 

I have some moral issues with the rent to own system….

And no, NOT on assistance because they worked, and when work you make too much to have such and they had a thing called morale's and integrity that dictated they owed more than dependency on a 'system". 

You're better off having none than having one used up roll and a surprised, angry guest in a predicament.

I do think you are morally obligated to give the tenant a heads up of what's coming and sufficient time to find a new place if they can't afford what the new rent will be.

This spam absolutely breaks federal law, and any company who specializes in sending out illegal text blasts will very likely have very questionable morals about other things, like fudging their advertising on large forum websites.
