Larger master baths Ill do in satin, semi-gloss on the rest for greater moisture resistance.If there is color on the walls I like flat white ceiling as the flat reduces shadowing which highlights imperfections, and flat white "lifts" the ceiling while darker colors "lower" it.

I'd be worry of an extremely picky (nitpicky) buyer that will come back to you when you are completed and attempt to nickel and dime you for price reductions for any little imperfection (real or not real) that they see.

Before the annual Section 8 inspection, I go over and touch-up any paint imperfections, and paint the window sills and tracks.

I just posted my deal, however imperfect it is, and hope others can learn something or get motivated. 

If you hire a painter specify this, because all painters use flat paint in most of the house because it hides imperfections better.  

The installer said he would take care of the issue but only ended up throwing spackle on SOME of the new imperfections, plus the spots he spackled are unsanded and unpainted.  

Real Estate is particularly well suited to this because of its imperfect nature.

While it will conform to your irregularities it won't telegraph imperfection like a thinner one.
