Many posters state that the investment was a Ponzi scheme and or the investment was a "rip off" or the sponsors are criminals and their only reasoning is that they were "sold" a return of x and did not receive it or distributions stopped or the terms of their investment was changed.

While you can have a checklist of income, credit score, criminal background, landlord reference, etc, to me the bigger tell of good versus less than good tenants came from all the interactions prior to leasing.

Seems like a very strict penalty if this is not followed through.The CTA provides that willfully reporting or attempting to report false or fraudulent beneficial ownership, or willfully failing to report or make updates to the reported data shall be punished with a civil penalty of up to $500/day while the violation continues (up to $10,000) and a criminal penalty of up to two years in prison.
