Appraisers are not going to add value for something that is financed or leased, and if you're the only house in the radius of comps with paid off solar they won't have any comparisons to derive value from it.In the end it is really only advisable to pursue if you're going to own the home forever....while it is nearly impossible to determine if you'll own forever or not regardless of present circumstances.

Definitely get multiple bids both for cost comparison and rehab approach comparison.

It will be best to choose one and run with it for a bit so you have a base of comparison for the future - keycheck is a solid start.

VRM Properties is misleading on their website, not very many details are provided on their loans other than comparisons to a conventional loan.

Greg, quads are great and some people love them, but a better comparison would be 4 single-family homes vs 1 fourplex.
