I do think that getting info from books gets you the 30,000 foot view, but you should look to join a group to get further education.

I'm 6'3'' and live in an English basement in DC with 7 foot ceilings (maybe 6'11'' ceilings where there's one inch carpet) and it's fine.

One year ago I purchased my first rental, house hacking a 4000 square foot duplex.

I work with a bunch of investors who try to reduce it to the numbers and while this works for the most part to hone in from a 30K foot view, once you get under the clouds it tends to be a little bit of black magic involved regardless of the market.  

I have an unfinished basement with 8-foot ceilings.

It's best to get started out on secure legal footing.

The only issue I have with Dynasty is it has a lower per square foot coverage than the others, but I guess if you want something to last a long time its all about having a good "Mill Thickness" anyhow.
