I've heard that Yurts can have mold issues in high humidity or rainy environments.

Another point to consider is we have power outages so a generator is a must or near must depending on your health and level of comfort you expect- summer can get to 105F plus humidity. 

I also have a small sensor monitoring noise, humidity etc.

Because of the low humidity, evaporative cooling keeps the house comfortable even on the hottest days and is way less expensive that A/C. 2) Outdoor sports.

(Also our family dislikes humidity, bugs, and constant grey winters.) 

I'm going to be obviously biased to WA over TX but after growing up in the midwest summers with 99% humidity and now experiencing the 0-10% humidity of eastern WA....I'm never going to live in a humid state again.... 

It's hot and humid just like Houston and the windows keep the cool air in and hot air out.

Can be affected ted by climate and humidity.

There are lots of posts about calculating reserves, in your area I expect reserves for capital expenses to be higher than somewhere like West Texas or Southern New Mexico because of humidity, snow etc.
