This depends on your personal investment philosophy and/or what gurus you follow.For example, many in the FI community would say you should not mix your 401k (normally equities investments) with real estate investments because the diversification you get by investing in the equities market and the real estate market are a boon.

Here is a link to the finance code... https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/Docs/FI/htm/FI.342.htmBasically, if you make your first payment, then immediately set autopay to make your second payment on the first day of the 2nd payment period, you will only need to pay for the 1 day of accrued interest since the balance was only left unpaid for that 1 day.

Initially, we won't be making any cash flow for the first year which we're okay with but after that we plan to rent it out to start the cash flow process (we're doing our due diligence by doing the calculations and using rentometer to make sure our rental income would offset our mortgage).With our lifelong goal of FI, what would you recommend we do?
