We use a newer cell carrier and pay $40 month for the both of us on smart phone plans (unlimited text/data).

You're talking a jumbo loan, so your options are somewhat limited, but I'd let the mortgage broker/lender know he's about to lose that fat commission if they dont get their act together.

The older generations did not have computers, cell phones, financial calculators, ...etc, but they had a lot of common practical sense and deeper understanding of life matters.

@Dev Horn I like your analogy, it is certainly easier to see it that way, I am building my buyers list and in the meantime I will make sure to work on my motivated sellers, making sure I catch the big fat fish ! 

Cold calling works but the challenge with that is finding the actual phone numbers since most people have cell phones now.
