Timber companies and the feds swap these lands all the time in an effort to create large blocks of either gov land or private timber lands.

It's one of the hottest markets in the US right now with so much population growth, job growth, and companies moving/developing here (26B Intel headquarters being built here, 68K+ enrollment in Ohio State University, Amazon, FB, Google, Honda, Nationwide, Anduril, etc.).

Plus, there's huge appreciation potential here since there's so many companies moving/developing here (Intel headquarters, Amazon, FB, Google, Nationwide, and recently Anduril).

A solution company that intrigues me is Acoustimac.

@Denise CarringerMy preference is to go local - some community banks offer this type of service or local escrow companies, which is what I found, because they offer a higher level of service than most national.

That said, I am thinking about Wake Forest, Garner, Apex as frontrunners based on the fact that they are closer to RTP and have generally good schools.

If your escrow company allowed that to happen, you should go after them.

In order to have checkbook control, the IRA account will need to be at a trust company that will allow the IRA to invest in an LLC (where you will be the manager and your IRA will be member - an as manager you will have checkbook access to the LLC bank account).

It may sound nice to pay a 6% management fee but the extra fees can add up to be more than the other company that charges 10% with no additional fees.
