In either case start with spraying on cardboard, get the pressure right, then attempt 5x5' area, stop set the gun in a bucket of water and wait thirty minutes.

The floors aren't a problem because the carpets are all coming out and you don't have to mask ceilings just take a piece of cardboard and place it at the edge and follow along as you spray.Windows arent a big deal either there are only 4 of them and I plan to paint around them by hand and then mask.
