Now, it seems like the initial feedback, after the first public kick off event, was that there was a huge amount of interest until it comes to the point, where people have to go and actually book a paid session.

Having attending many events for multiple industries over the years I would also advise that the best use of your time at these events is between sessions, network your butt off!

If the powers that be lower Texas property taxes, don't be too surprised if a legislative session or two later they hike your income taxes in this great great shell game that is "who do we tax and how do we tax them to pay for the stuff we want?"

i never had a 'session' with my assigned coach/strategist to try to sell me any one of their training packages or events. 

As for the rentals, I am learning to look for:- are there similar properties available for rent- have any of their rent recently reduced- overall neighborhood classification- access to stores, major highways etc- schools already in session so may not be lucrative- cash flow and IRR ( I am still figuring out IRR)Kudos for trying to help out friends.

Dur to so much conflicting advice I am scheduling a live strategy session with a firm specializing in entity formation strategies, legal aspects and tax advisement for real estate notes.My communications with multiple custodians, attorneys and asset management firms has been informative but confusing.
