There are also some lease scams going as well, an old lady in Dallas buys oil rights just before RE closings and the buyer thinks they get them, there's a suit going now as title insurance doesn't insure mineral rights in TX according to the attorney.

The interesting thing here is the statute defines "real property" thus: "(i) 'Real property' or 'real estate' means any interest or estate in land... including any assignment, leasehold, subleasehold, or mineral right...."

Lake county because of the lake and Napa Sonoma because of proximity to SF.The original resorts were all mineral bath type resorts .. and thoroughbred ranchs and in fact even though not in Lake Co Seabiscut lived and died right up the way in Willits.
