I started because in 2006, a "friend" of mine gave me the saddest story of his life about how he needed to sell his house to stay alive and save his marriage, and all of the humanity!

She is working here illegally, lied on the tenant application form, proposed marriage after 3 weeks (and how can you get to know a person well enough to make  well-informed decision about spending the rest of your life with them after 3 weeks?) 

Over 15 years of marriage in northeast Oregon, we have returned each year to a popular regional destination just a few hours away. 

There is a deference from helping someone with something that cost you nothing, and helping someone by taking on their loss.In this world there are always winners and losers in all transactions of life, you must understand this, that is what life is, and sometimes people get tossed a bad one because a choice or combination of choices over their life, but you should never ever take on that person's loss.My parents did the 20 some year marriage thing, and I watched my father burn his life to the ground when my mother left, if I had taken on that burden it would have cost me hundreds of thousands, if not millions, and who knows what else.

Someone once said that marriage is a way that you find out everyday what your deficiencies are!

Partnering on rentals is like a marriage and most people just like to date other investors, not marry them.

Anytime any of us early terminate any agreement whether its a residential lease, a car lease, a home security contract, our cable company, our gas provider, our marriage, etc....there is most likely a penalty.   

After some research, what I am wanting to do is a Non-Arm's Length transaction which is completely legal and is not bank fraud (as long as I don't lie about my marriage). 

Our first year of marriage we lived in a little one-bedroom apt and we didn't have a dishwasher and had shared laundry with 7 other apts.

My wife and I have always aspired to be debt free and the only loans we had in our 28 years of marriage have been for our primary residence.
