Yes....1925 home...been renting for 3 yrs....double rental...2300.00 for house and cottage ...having old piping issues.and some roof situation. ..had lived there my self....had whole house lifted....has gone up 10 percent in value....just at a standstill now....plumbing 1925...not sure but may be looking at 10 grand or more...don't know whether to keep...sell....or use loan of some type....thanks for your inputs....

I gave up -everyone has mine-utilities, credit card companies, NSA, IRS, bank employees, property managers, landlords, doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, car dealers, airlines, DMV, apple, Samsung, etc. really think it’s safe?

That's cash flow only. so it's apples to oranges.

I also allow my tenants to use Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal whatever...

You just have to line up apples to apples, so make sure those homes similarly have a significant amount of finished space below grade. 

I don’t like 1 year lease, and prefer month-to-month lease because I can kick out bad apples tenants anytime.

I look at real estate like Apple / John Deere / Disney all commodities some ay nicer dividends some have a nice run coming.

@James Wise  Per your request.Coming out of the late 1800s most of the major west coast cities that we know and love like LA  SF  PDX SEATAC were all subdivided by the same engineering firms  at least SF and Portlandia were.. this led to land speculators in the day going out into the Western deserts and other remote areas.. buying what were large land holdings , Spanish land grants and other lands that were not govmit owned.. then in the day you could simply create massive subdivisions buy doing basic surveys off of the base and meridian lines.. which all of the west is surveyed off of... this is called section land.then create these massive tracks of lots.. some were like up in the apple valley, Lancaster,  Barstow type areas mainly 5 acre tracts.. and were done on a grid pattern.. streets in ( mapped but not built)  and of course spiraled out of a small little town off the railroad track or the few roads that existed in those days.. you took your map and recorded it at the county, county was happy they just got 5 thousand lots they could send out tax bills on..
