Sadly our education system does not arm the young folk and the lobbies of the corporations and stock/mutual fund investment firms have been getting the older folks for many many decades.

SFH are getting their AMV's reduced around 7-12% depending on location and commercial properties are being cut 9-25% depending on location and use (2-6 units reduced 9-15%, hotels and theaters are receiving the biggest reductions 20-25%).

Only a tiny minority of people, who did not actively lobby, were in favor of no regulations on STRs. 

I also think “fees” are the next action tenants unions will lobby against.

I can possibly take about 20-30 minutes away from the meeting to sit in the lobby with you to hit the highlights for you.

As for lobbying, rental owners associations , apartment owners associations, etc exist for lobbying reasons... join these groups and participate. 

It’s just political theater & everyone knows how this will play out.
