Similar sentiments (but the opposite direction) for selling, but just starting you have nothing yet to sell.

Overall buyer/seller sentiment is a strong indicator of that emotion and indirectly impacts the real estate market. 

The dilemma behind the question is this: I have heard the on the market podcast crew say that rising mortgage rates equal rising rental rates (correct me if I'm wrong), so part of me wants to go for my max market rental rate, but I've also heard the sentiment from multiple acquaintances/mentors who have been in the industry a long time relay that economic downturns lead to more people losing jobs and more evictions, and that hedging against vacancy and turnover by offering a lower rental rate to solid tenants is a better play than getting max dollar. 

I do echo the sentiment of the others - find an agent that's familiar with investor buyers, or at least multifamily house hack buyers.

What I picked up from that expression was that he felt his time was not being put to good use unless someone was really actively listening and executing on something.I can relate to that sentiment. 

Although I agree with the sentiments from everyone above, if you are confident your attorney is competent, then consult with him/her on how best to go forward with your short and long-term interests in mind.

@Jack Ni, I'm no arborist but I share @Brian Van Pelt's sentiments.

I found one or two parties who were the principals and not brokers,  and they were the only ones who did not try to add that language in the contract,  and coincidentially their offers were also the best ones.I can see the value in using it when forming an LLC,  but otherwise from a buyer perspective I agree with the sentiment that it adds a lot risk without any additional upside to the transaction.
