Considering your options, #1 seems like a practical choice – being transparent with your tenants about the situation and proposing a reasonable rent increase.

Since what you’re proposing has perceived added risk, the return would have to be greater than a note with less risk.  

It doesn't have the backing of as many legislators yet, but the original bill is also getting a lot of pushback.

Would they take any of the actions you are proposing?
