I have currently connected with a polished real estate investor and am trying to bird dog for him and bring in good deals.

Hope his course isn’t on due diligence@Jay Hinrichs and @Chris SeveneyYou guys probably know this, but for the less knowledgeable and less experiencedWhen you see a POLISHED presentation for seminars, mentorships, courses, etc., its almost certain that it was produced by one of a very few marketing companies located in either Las Vegas, Nevada or Provo, Utah.  

it is that there is bad with every goodand that you have to know a good thing when you see it/I have probably gotten 6,000 dollars worth of work for about 2,500and although not all of it is spit and polish most of it is very well done his expertise seems to lie in structural and engineering codes and section 8 requirements building codes etcand he helps me stay in compliance with these thingsI will be sticking with this guy every land lord needs a good handyman/GC that can be trusted.my eye for detail will have to be developed to compensate for his lack of the beauty aestheticeventually we will mutt and jeff ourselves into bigger pockets

Polish your credit rating so that it will be easier to get a loan. 

Try Polish National.  

But with the lower rent ($250 versus $1250) it takes a lot longer to get your money back.Unless you really want to learn "guerrilla landlording" and practice "do it yourself" repairs to polish your skills, I'd pass!

You can grind/polish it down but it eill make it pretty slick!

No point in wasting money you do not  have polishing a tu*d.

I have considered everything from changing careers, to opening a business, to just trying to polish up the resume with another degree.In the last 6 months or so I have become very serious about moving into the real estate world.

My father, the mechanic, said you get paid to fix cars, not to polish tools.Add in, once you put your info in, it's almost impossible to get it out into a new system.
