The less expensive narrow (2 1/4") oak flooring in golden oak or gunstock is appropriate to Charleston and will expand and contract with the house in our humid climate.

To be more specific, I have an early 90s home in Fairfield with standard builder grade materials throughout for that era (solid oak cabinets, linoleum floors, gold accent hardware in bathrooms, tile counters, etc.)

We also organize a group east of the city in White Oak which is free to attend, but this would be a little far out from you.

I would replace it personally, reglazing is a cheap alternative but not if you have to deal with the glaze chipping and peeling in 4-5 years which puts you back to square one.

Everytime I go to Oak town, I have to dodge my way to get to your place in one piece.
