Sounds like you have the right mentality for this business as well!  

A family of six hoping to rent a two bedroom apt, a mentally challenged woman with two small children trying to escape an abusive husband, and a young couple, maybe nineteen or twenty, who were looking for a place they could share with his parents who'd just had their trailer repossessed are some of the people who applied for my most recent vacancy.  

Individuals that purchase to rent are not of the same mentality and not the same quality of owner as the owner occupied units.

I dont just have a "lets-go, NOW" mentality, in fact, I probably am more "let-me-dwell-on-this-a-bit-and-by-bit-I-mean-a-month-or-two" before making decisions.

Its been really a really huge mental shift for me in terms of understanding my personal finances, although in reality its just a slight change in behavior.
