I was able to find a large format (either 16"x20", or 18"x24") Italian ceramic tile that looks like marble, and was on clearance.

Some of which we can reuse again, like tools and supplies.We decided on a deeper more squared-off kitchen sink, a modern faucet (spring with hose), bright matte white interior paint all over the house and garage, The countertops are now carrera marble laminate formica with a deep layer of high-gloss clear resin coating, matte black faucets and bathroom handles, while all other knobs, dishes, stoppers, and 'house earrings" are brushed nickel.

In a day or two the birds know they're statues.

If you're looking to try and pick up properties in default, where you think the lender can no longer foreclosure......many have tried unsuccessfully, mostly due to misinterpretation/misapplication of the statue of limitations "theory".

Quartz instead of marble, laminate/LVP instead of engineered hardwood, etc.

Some of these seem standard and would be covered in the state statues. 

I see a good amount of marble, subway tile and even though I like it a little voice tells me "maybe marble is the travertine of the future."  

You need to get plywood cabinets, and a "cultured" marble top (which is not too durable either- it won't peel off, but is somewhat easily chipped or broken); or get a solid surface ("Corian" type), or stone products that will typically last a very long time.
