As noted, you will likely get some type of monthly or quarterly reporting on operations, some frequency of financial detail, and hopefully the ability to ask questions, but I don't believe any syndicator will hold your hand through acquisitions, due diligence, asset management, etc.

House Bill 563 limits local governments from regulating short-term rental properties.[1] Not only does the bill prohibit municipal corporations, villages, and townships from outright banning short-term rentals, but it also restricts local governments from limiting the number, frequency, and duration of rentals.[2] Prior to House Bill 563, state law left the regulation of short-term rentals to local governments.[3]I have not heard any recent updates or need on this, and was wondering if anyone knows what’s currently going on with this bill ?

Just curious as I have no experience with them at all and it hasn't scared me away yet from a 3 unit property that I just put an offer on.My main takeaways:Need strict rules in lease about what can be used for toilet paper, laundry frequency, waste/chemicals going into the sink.300-800 maintenance every couple years for pumping/inspectionExpect five-figure costs if you have major repairs or replacement.Anything else I should be looking out for?
