When a couple move in with an existing adult or late teenage female offspring, watch out.

I got into real estate immediately out of college and have been full time since 1992.My previous jobs were when I was a teenager and typical kid jobs - working at a pet store, working on a horse farm cleaning stalls, etc.

But be careful because I have a friend who is a doctor that's always crying about his taxes, so I told him to set up a business in his garage and let his teenage kid run it.

Disclaimer: I am not very good at saving money ( being a single mom of a teenager son who needs a car and will go to college in 3 years is not helping my savings either).

We both work full time jobs and my boyfriend has primary care for his teenaged daughter, so he couldn't just come over after work every night - he had dinner to make, homework to help with, etc.  

I wish I was driven this way when I was a teenager I'd be a lot farther now.

There is a group home across the street with rowdy teenagers.

I bought my first property which was a 4 family at age 23 and bought from my savings as a teenager.

So if a mother in law or older teenager stays out there, they have their independence.We are about ready to pick the AC company.
