Hi,I was wondering if anyone, @Steve Hamilton , has a definitive answer on what is allowable for expenses within a SDIRA, as far as 'misc personal expenses' goes.It is my understanding that even though you can not contribute 'sweat equity' into a SDIRA property, you CAN do the book keeping and tenant screening etc.....

Honestly, she enjoys the bookkeeping part of owning rentals, likes getting the checks and depositing, etc.

Specifically to define entity structure for these activities (buy/hold; fix/flip; wholesale); advise on creative finance strategies for buying ten SFR properties in succession; best use of existing capital and investments partnered with either private or hard money lenders; develop a strategy for future growth; build my chart of accounts (I will handle the bookkeeping side); prepare tax returns; recommend other team members, including legal, brokers/lenders, etc.

Scott, this may be later on down the road, but how about a CPA or accountant for book keeping and/or taxes?

she was a bookkeeper at best.In any event, I started looking out for a new accountant, and found most did not understand C corps and i did not have much confidence in them.Finally someone referred me to my current accountant and I have been happy.

Was it data entry, bookkeeping/accounting, or something else altogether?

If you want to hire outside help, I wouldn't have a CPA do you bookkeeping as it would be too costly.

If I don't do your bookkeeping how do I know if you are reporting your income correctly?

Someone to answer the phones and direct calls to the appropriate tradesmen, someone to do showings, someone to do bookkeeping.
