There are several parts of Central Houston that offer some great house hacking options with new construction duplexes.

I'm based in Central Florida and plan to invest in my area about an hour north of Orlando.

I run a PM company in central CT.  

As many others have commented, doing a LTR on a new construction single-family home in Central Fl will likely pull cash out of your pocket for a couple of years once you account for vacancy, property management, and capex. 

Especially in central NC there are too many deals for me to get funded.
