The companies working on small infill projects in the area generally have more robust teams and systems in place and my wife and I just aren't able or perhaps willing to invest the same amount of time when we're also juggling architectural and consulting projects.

But at the same time, I could just pump more money into stocks and achieve similar returns and not have to deal with any of the worry of finding tenants/juggling insurance/dealing with angry or litigious tenants, etc.
