I probably wouldn't have done it anyway.Two things I used to always do was show them a sample of which size nail or staple (preferred) they were allowed to use if they hung Christmas lights on the exterior.

This is final nail in the coffin for the investor but an absolute windfall for the tenant.I'm convinced most tenants come out of a foreclosure well ahead of the game.

EVERY house I buy has some open junction box.I have seen plastic sleeved wired shredded on steel studs or nailed.

I was in Acupulco in the 70's,,the main houses there are 4 sheets of scrap corrugated tin nailed to a tree,,,and whole families lived inside!!

I was consistently nailed for loose hand rails, smoke detectors with the batteries taken out, Fire extinguishers out of date or not in place, loose door knobs, typical renter mentality stuff, the lines in the parking lot were not dark enough one year.
