I feel like this should be prefaced  with the fact that I understand the nuisances cranes/construction cause via traffic and everything else (I, too, live in UTC).That said, I think those who incessantly complain about the issue and seek legislative change to stop it are almost always some combination of selfish, shortsighted, and/or stupid.Typically speaking, you should not mind cranes or construction in areas where you invest for a few reasons - I’m not sure that environmental variation is among the most important/obvious.What is obvious, though, is the fact that cranes/construction are pretty good evidence that you’ve placed yourself in the path of progress.

The first 30-45 days buyer agents said it was priced right and there was plenty of traffic but no sale came from the traffic, only a couple of lowball offers.

It has high visitor counts, is almost recession proof (area saw flat or increased traffic during the recession), and while the market has risen you can still  get nice properties with that budget.

I may have exaggerated, its a little further than an hour without traffic, so i think the DIY method could've been tough. i actually ended up backing out of the deal and am going to partner with my dad/uncle in buying something locally, they felt that for my first deal it was better to have something more local.

I personally wont even consider Balto city  , taxes , crime and schools .You would need an agent in every area , An agent from Pasadena Md isnt goint to check out a property in Beltsville md , with traffic its 1  1/2 hours one way .
