I would like to invest in some blue chip stocks, but will probably wait until I have at least 4 rentals pushing out cashflow.

We're looking at leveraging that equity to buy more property, but want to be smart.The question is this: We've heard horror stories of banks calling notes out of the blue (second hand information for sure, but) or at least not willing to re-up (is this a word?)

First I'd suggest that you fill out your Keyword Alerts (top of page, under blue stripe, and below notifications) You might put your area, multi family, fourplex, or whatever you'd like to be notified of when there's a post dealing with it.

When I am driving for dollars I look for: boarded up windowsbroken windowstall grassa general unkept appearancemissing mailboxoverflowing mailboxsigns of major expense (blue tarp on roof, etc.)no exterior landscaping (possible sign of a rent house)for rent signsFSBO signsno curtains or blindsIf I see someone out in the neighborhood I stop and ask them if they know of any vacant houses nearby and tell them what I do.Im sure there are other things but thats a start.
