Ignore your compass at your own peril and bouts of insomnia.  

There are a number of times I would have walked away early had I not had the tolerance to endure. 

And I don't regret the process of enduring that year of complete failure.

You can do the math - I have insomnia and half my brain is off.

Aside from wanting to get paid back in a timely manner, as you point out, there are several additional reasons for this.First, there is not a lender on the face of the Earth who wants the house and even fewer who want to endure a foreclosure.

I feel it's a solid investment because that CF number is pessimistic and I can endure a downturn if needed.
