@Diane BonheurIf you are looking for markets, that cash flow, Columbus and Cleveland, are great places to start if looking out of state in areas that are landlord-friendly. 

Specifically, there's job growth (Intel, Honda, Amazon, Nationwide, etc) and the population is growing (unlike Cleveland or Cincy).

I also recommend you to check Columbus and Cleveland markets.

In Cleveland OH it is 1-2BR furnished rentals priced at 1,200-1,600 monthly utilities and internet included. 

I invest locally in Columbus and Cleveland.

Quite a turnaround.Chicago wasn’t exactly hot during the pandemic, but together with cities like Detroit and Cleveland, it sure is today.
