You're going to have to figure this out legally, I would get a lawyer and try to find your way out of this via payment plan like Jay mentioned, or if they messed up shift the onus on them. 

I know many people have lawyered up, and they’ve gotten nothing of value back in return for their legal fees.

But I am not a lawyer, and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.This thread is a shining example for two of my, and mine alone, personal viewpoints:1. 

My lawyer is askig if you would be available to testify via the web or phone?

Or should i consult with a CPA and Lawyer who both specialize in real estate taxation and real estate law, respectively?

I have attended conferences where lawyers have spoken on using Wyoming or Delaware for this purpose.  

I already spoke to a lawyer last month.

Also, in regards to communication with your lender, I always tell my clients to consider me as their lawyer and tell me everything (good, bad and ugly) and then I can best help them navigate how to communicate to the Underwiters.

Her alimony is legitimate and she can give you  a letter from her lawyer that proves her income.
