I grew up assisting my family of developers and architects but want more experience before I jump into it.My only advice at the moment is to read "The Real Book of Real Estate by Robert Kiyosaki" it is a brilliant read.

Most of the "tasks" to consider here are the following: Zoning/Permits- Biggest factor here is time/Architect and possibly engineers for underpinning.

@Dominick Galinis there is no rationalizing building when you can buy existing inventory...if you're not an architect or have a tight connection with a custom home builder this will take twice as long as you think with cost overruns you never predicted...how are you predicting you'll be in an instant equity position?

I have a team of Architects, Builders, Lawyers, etc. already set up and doing initial planning but the amount of capital and experience is something that i'm just not privy to yet.

I’d expect my contractor to know the latter, so things like what size drain line to use but for things like set backs that would be better suited under the scope of an architect or similar role (and even they get it wrong some times too!).
