With LA county and SB county people moving to "cheaper" more charming Ventura County, paired with a very low rate of new development, demand and cost have accelerated at an unsustainable rate (long term). 

I took over his rehab and made plans to return it to it's 1940s charm. 

It's an older bungalow w/ a lot of charm and potential.

Just saw this on a listing that I was looking at:"Charming home that needs work.

Built in 1890, the home has seen little remodeling and so retains much of its historic charm.

I'll just keep my eyes on the prize and use the old fashioned charm to grow that pool. ;) We may do another round of mailers because it was fast and easy and not too pricey with EDDM. 

I thought until recently it was a lower income, high crime area next to MLK Blvd, but after a visit there recently, I found charming main streets, cool Seattle-ish independent shops for bikes and toys and consignments, prominent banks, Starbucks, and young professional types walking with their kids.I'm curious now!
