Which would make most BiggerPockets readers happy as there are probably many more who own STRs than hotels. 

Let them know how much you enjoy living in the home and mention that you’re planning to buy your own property in 2025.

@David Lewishi. some questions for you:-do you own any real estate in addition to the condo?

Or can you find the information you need on your own.  

This property is unique in that we can rent out the whole property or we can rent out the property by individual rooms because each room has its own bathroom and it runs as a bed and breakfast.

- Each Housing Commission sets their own rent rates, based upon market rents for Class C properties in their area.You should be able to find an online list of S8 rents per bedroom for your area.

I'm based in WI and there are several people from NY investing here, some successful and some not---the common thread I see from the ones that are not is that they relied on someone else for information instead of investigating, VERIFYING and doing their own due diligence. 

The idea of restricting what you do with your own cash, just because it was a refi, is probably unconstitutional.I know a lot of people investing in Texas from both inside and outside Texas. 

So ultimately we decided to suck it up and not take on the additional equity, which ultimately required us to take more time on completing the needed rehab, however in hindsight it was a good decision, because even just among our own family there's been lots of dispute on what we want for the business plan and personal STR useage....
