Eventhogh it was going to cost me it felt like I had won the lottery.

Given I've never seen a houseboat rental advertisement in my life I don't think, and I rarely talk about houseboats - so if this is just a coincidence, I'm buying a lottery ticket!!

do both of those things.. real estate to be successful NORMALLY requires both of those items to be in order.and it really depends on what part of the country you live in and want to work in.in areas of really low value assets this is far eaiser to accomplish than in areas were price points are much higher and those that own and deal in real estate are generally going to want to deal with investors that have the ability to execute.think about going to work for some folks in the industry so you can get paid and then learn the trade.. just like an apprentice at any vocation.not sure how this I have no money or credit and I became a successful RE investor go such a strong hold on our conciences.. it can happen but so can winning the lottery..

@Mike FloraYea I think it’s a lottery pick from the country because I seen property that were just behind 1 year go to auction and I still see houses that are 10years of behind taxes never gone to auction yet

At the same time the SEC is fine with the same individual participating in far riskier investments in public markets (trading options, etc) and your state will sell you as many lottery tickets as you can buy.

If it pays for all that, and still puts some cash in your pocket, consider yourself having won the lottery.

Law suits are on the same level as buying lottery tickets in the US.

Durham School of the Arts (grades 6-12) is highly regarded for art & academics- it requires a lottery for entrance; both my girls attended. 

Landlords need to keep a low profile to minimize their "landlord lottery" exposure, as we were discussing in the Carbon Monoxide thread.

That's like trying to win the lottery.
