** I never managed before but I inherited my 1st tenant on Friday after closing.So when I go to find a tenant for the lower unit, my red flags would be: In Person: Condition of the vehicle: Junk pouring out of the car (wrappers, empty drinks, etc), how they dress (wrinkly clothing?)

Cleaned out the tub with bleach, scoured it with brillo pads and wiped down with a tack cloth before masking off the tiles around it and spraying it down.

fully agree. we invite you to the city of Berwyn, IL. you bought a foreclosure on our turf we will make the process "easy"all BX must be gone - does not matter if all walls are exposed or notall cloth wiring must be goneall basement on single switcharc fault on every bedroomfan rated boxes. ground rodgrounding to the water meterput new outlets here and there ...and more more fun stuffwe will make you add so much new stuff that your panel needs to be replaced as you will run out of space.

And their hair, clothes, etc, smell so if you rent furnished, the bed/couch/carpet starts to smell like smoke, anyway.
