It’s one regret that sticks out the most of my life is losing out on the portfolio I would have if I hadn’t originally quit.

This often comes as a huge surprise very late in the process of a sale.Sure, the title company may have screwed up (they may have even listened to the borrower assuring them no, I don't have a 2nd) but ultimately the debt is for the original borrower to pay.

If it was originated recently an option would be to have them refinance it - but if it’s a low interest rate then they will most likely want to keep itWhat does your operating agreement say about this?

We've had it happen before, nothing major, but just some extra money we weren't originally planning on spending to turn a unit. 

Assuming you got that loan with no origination, underwriting, appraisal or other fees/costs. 

I’ve had to evict the original tenants, got rid of a roach infestation, and the electrical seems iffy.
