The new draft zoning ordinance of Gaithersburg, which, for full disclosure, my mom has worked for the planning department my entire life, is out with an interesting wrinkle: they will not only allow ADUs but also have no owner-occupant requirement.

@Mitchell Hammack If the home is located in an area with other mobile homes, it's best to check with the zoning department to see if there are any restrictions when bringing in another home on the lot.
