In the present mortgage environment it appears that super jumbo mortgage lenders have preference towards a perceived 'stronger' loan.

I would replace both so that you have peace of mind and don't need to rush when a roof leak appears or the HVAC stops working.

Caution that these repayments generally cost more in the long run and the strategy would be to refinance again in a more favorable interest rate environment. 

And when the music stops it’s usually crickets, as many LPs are embarrassed to admit the losses and the syndicators prefer a hush hush environment (which is why some LPs don’t want to name them.)Personally I have always found syndications too risky, especially given that I have zero control, other than reading their disclosures and trusting in their accuracy.

Its certainly hard to cash flow significantly in the current environment (high rates, high values etc) - I tend to think though that just "doing" a first deal even if it doesn't make too much is valuable versus getting stuck in analysis paralysis - the learning from the experience of actual doing it generally is 10X + even a ton of courses, info, spreadsheets etc

But we're exposed to it all the time, it's a mineral naturally in the environment.  

That is not the approach I would take,  especially in a rising interest rate environment.  

Being prepared and pro-active as a buyer is the best approach to have an opportunity to get the property you are targeting in this competitive environment.
