IMO You should never own a rental property in your name.

I have my own thoughts on what the differences are, but I am biased so I'm curious -- as a listener to both shows what do you think differentiates the two (or should differentiate the two?).

Better to keep rent 5-10% below market, but keep a tenant long-term.If you can handle all this, you MIGHT be ready to be a real estate mogul.Otherwise, you may want to get out of your own way and hire a PMC to manage your property better.Let us know how this goes before you continue dreaming about anything else:)

I don't understand why you've owned an investment for 27 years and only cash flow $600 a month.

One thing you might think of doing is having and promoting your own website to avoid the exhorbitant fees charged by the third party sites such as Expedia, Booking.com and Air BnB.  

Which would make most BiggerPockets readers happy as there are probably many more who own STRs than hotels.
