People just want to get through the holidays and into the new year.

I'm not a lawyer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.Legally you have the right but as others have mentioned if your currenttenant is present they can say anything. 

The $30 is the annual fee for the REIA and basically goes to cover refreshments at the monthly meetings and the holiday party in December. 

It's an East-Sac property in the Elmhurst district (known for it's festivities during the Holidays).

Long weekends, holidays, winter break for students this passed year I was renting for $200/night mostly on weekends. 

Also, the holidays will slow the market down drastically in So Ca, it may be your best time to look when no one else is looking.

(a) If the last day for the performance of any act provided or required by law to be performed within a specified period of time is a holiday, then that period is hereby extended to and including the next day that is not a holiday.

Having your tenants pay via direct deposit, or to some other entity other than yourself, leaves you open to a long eviction process, because the banks don't work on Holidays or week-ends, and they do make mistakes, sometimes, which delays you in receiving your money on time, and there goes your eviction process.
