The edgier lenders will require you to insure at least to cover the amount borrowed because... their name will be on the insurance settlement check along with yours and they will be happy to cash that check and close your loan account leaving you to figure out what to do with a heavily damaged home.Scare tactics?

Because the seller would be heavily in debt after the closing and would have to take out a loan to complete the sale this has created a stand still of the process even though the buyer has paid earnest money and hired a property inspector and R E Attorney.
