I think it's a little self-defeating to think that it's not worth getting on wholesalers lists.  

When they call in the tow truck they then have to wait for the tow truck to get there and see the whole process through... which makes, a what would be 30 second conversation with their neighbors ....a much faster and pleasant way to handle a simple parking violation and turns it into a 30 to 40 minute ordeal along with the added paperwork and enourmous fines that the homeowner would have to pay to retrieve there vehicle from the impound lot..anyone with critical thinking skills understands this defeats there argument that they dont have time to babysit all the adults in the community...I asked them " if your mother lived below you and her car was getting towed.....you wouldnt let her know that her car is getting towed?"...

Sort of defeats the purpose of getting a truck :P I would just get a station wagon or small SUV at that point.

That's correct however I am not sure if you'd have closing costs borrowing against the equity and if you did, you'd be defeating the purpose of trying to save money.
