Make sure to be honest with your son and let him know why you have to handle it the way you do, but remember not to give him any confidential information that could get you in trouble if he spoke about it at school.

The notice to the landlord shall be accompanied by either: (i) a copy of a valid order of protection issued by a court pursuant to Chapter 50B or 50C of the General Statutes, other than an ex parte order, (ii) a criminal order that restrains a person from contact with a protected tenant, or (iii) a valid Address Confidentiality Program card issued pursuant to G.S. 15C-4 to the victim or a minor member of the tenant's household.

My guess is the seller has not authorized it and they cannot disclose someone's confidential information without authorization.Check your purchase docs to see what information is required to be turned over about the tenant. 
Brian Taylor Medical Lien on Forclosure

Looking at purchasing a property, shows that it has a 17,000 medical lien on it, property is not getting any bids, going on its 6th time up for auction, confident i can get it for the reserve of 37,000, the bank is owed 164,000, does that lien attach to me if i buy this property or does it get wiped since the bank is priority and they wont even break even?
