At the time, I was not focused on expanding my portfolio but have recently changed gears and have invested into another with a partner of mine who encouraged me to check out Bigger Pockets.I have been quietly browsing the forums and soaking up the lessons learned.

Every time you go to a store and browse all of the useless garbage it’s buyer beware; but the banks bought these loans and now they are sending our economy into a tailspin thanks to their panic knee jerk reaction to a problem that was largely their fault.

You may also consider browsing though that youtube account / channel.

Any guidance on other resources I can read/learn from would be great.I noticed just from browsing the forums for a few days that people often mention finding a mentor.

I'm talking purchasing your LLC or whichever other structure you decided on.Just thought I'd throw out the question and hopefully get some direct answers as I keep listening to the podcasts and browsing the forums.Thanks, all!

Should I talk to brokers, browse Craigslist, search Loopnet, or all of the above?

I'm sure you can browse expired listings and find motivated sellers, but we do this in parallel with a full time job, so there's no time to make cold calls and create custom mail lists.  

Came across this gem while browsing foreclosures in Houston.

There are only 2 dots on the map, but then I click on "browse alphabetically" and it shows all 138 lenders.
