I’m fresh into real estate flipping about a year into it. 3rd project in and as I’m still learning, I get a lot of mixed reviews about material cost, and labor costs so I figured I’ll come on here and ask for some opinions.NOTE:I was told by an old-school investor that what I paid for labor was way too much.

@Gladys Villa we chose to buy a fixer-upper in a great neighborhood, live in it for 2 years while renovating, sell with the tax exemption (now up to $500,000 profit tax free), then repeat until our kids needed more stability for schools.

I have my primary residence single family home paid off in full Zestimate ~$500K, and no other outstanding loans for cars, schools, credit cards, and in good financial position with 2 years of reserves for expenses, etc.

Reach out the the local grad schools, hospital HR department for incoming doctor residencies, relocation service companies, and see if they will cross market for you.

Alex, We manage properties in many CT towns and cities but the ones we see doing the best:3+ bedroom rentals (usually SFH's): I like CT places with good school systems as families tend to flock to them and stay longer.
