We have cancelled the trip.

A bit of advice,I would not start a conversation announcing yourself  as socialist - to those of us who've actually experienced the atrocity that is socialism, it doesn't play too well...Just a thought.Another thought - take a trip to Venezuela :) 

I skipped 2 trips to Vegas on vacation and invested the money with this, it is entertainment in addition to investment for me.   

I manage long distance, have contractors on speed dial, and several college friends I can call to run over to the house if needed for 50 bucks a trip. 

Took a trip there a few months ago to investigate the area...mainly around Racine and Kenosha.

Thanks in large part to referrals from these forums, I found an amazing realtor in Indy and made a trip out there last week.I know there are a lot of people like me who are simply priced out of our local area but are scared to make the plunge into a distant market, so I wanted to share my experience in hopes they will take action.Joel Clausen with the Scott Smith team spent two whole days (I mean ALL DAY) showing me properties and giving me the inside scoop on the local area.

I'm thinking you could run a decent 2 week road trip across the country for 1500 dollars.

I haven gotten tripped up in the past for not asking for a list of security deposits. 

I always recommend that out of state investors make a trip to their chosen market to meet the people they're considering working with, prior to any buying any properties.
