When I looked at the property, it was vacant, but an active listing, so in my mind, the sellers NEEDED to sell and left the residence, or,they're snowbirds and left for the winter. 

If you live in an area where the winters can be frigid and harsh, you probably dealt with this before.

Even though it’s a beach resort is occupancy still high in the winter season when it’s less popular?

We've seen out-of-the-norm price drops and and the winter months can be tough.Seems like there is a softening of rental prices coming. 

But a lot of the rentals around here are just winter rentals, this one is year round.

I've been considering one of these as well because it's going to be a few years before I can build my outdoor kitchen with wood fired pizza oven :-) and even then, I'm not firing it up in the winter!
