If you read any of the Lewis and Clark Expedition writings, you will see they discovered the Native Americans were fighting fiercely, tribe to tribe.Whether people came to the North American Continent via a land bridge from Asia or via a ship from Europe, everyone "migrated" here for a number of reasons, food, escaping an enemy, more freedom, all encompassed in the word HOPE.The Europeans treated the resident Native Americans a LOT better than they treated those that were here before them.

Adding observations and conclusions: The west side of the island (roughly Guánica to Aguadilla, encompassing key towns such as Cabo Rojo and Rincón) is down maybe 25-35% in tourism-related activity (Airbnb, internal travelers), and at least 2 hotels are still closed or mostly closed.

I sold out 5 years ago.. the work it took to run that big of portofolio was all encompassing.. and while it might be 40k a month you wont see that..

It is also highly likely that when the seller originally took out the mortgage on the property, he signed some sort of errors and omissions waiver that encompasses situations such as this where something has been mis-filed or recorded incorrectly.One other thought, I don't believe there would be anything stopping the lender from recording the property today/next week/sometime in the future, especially since they are now aware of the situation.Obviously, I'm not a lawyer, so please don't take the above as legal advice.It sucks that this happened to you, but definitely better to find out now than after you have already bought the property.
